Glen Hiemstra, leading Northwest futurist, has broad experience as an international speaker and consultant. Glen's work as a futurist is widely known and respected. He is frequently invited by members of the U.S. Congress to address state conferences focused on the future.Glen delights and stretches audiences with his dynamic and informative keynotes. In addition, Glen is the co-author of Strategic Leadership: Achieving Your Preferred Future. Prior to going into business, Glen was an award winning educator - selected "Most Influential Professor" at Whitworth College in 1980 - the youngest person to win that award. In 1989, Glen served as the Washington State Centennial Futurist.
Glen is frequently cited as a resource for articles about the future, most recently in The Wall Street Journal, U.S. News and World Report, and The Los Angeles Times. He is past chair of the Smart Cities Task Force, a private-public partnership in the greater Seattle area which worked to speed the introduction of world-class information systems in the region, and a past Director of a virtual reality design company.
